Kerala SSLC 2025 Results Declared: State Achieves 99.5% Pass Rate

Thiruvananthapuram, May 9, 2025 — The Kerala Board of Public Examinations (KBPE) announced the results for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination 2025 today at 3 PM. This year’s results once again reflect the high academic standards of the state, with an impressive pass percentage of 99.5%, positioning Kerala among the top-performing states in India for secondary education.

Students can check their results through the following methods:

Examination Overview

The SSLC examinations were conducted from March 3 to March 26, 2025, across more than 2,900 examination centers in Kerala and nine centers outside the state. Over 4.5 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 board exams this year.

Out of the total students who registered, more than 4.47 lakh students successfully cleared the exams, continuing the state’s trend of near-universal success. The results were declared by the Kerala Education Minister, who commended the students, teachers, and school management for maintaining high academic standards despite the academic challenges brought on by curriculum revisions and technological transitions.

District-Wise Performance

While most districts recorded strong performances, Thiruvananthapuram reported the lowest pass percentage among all districts, though still maintaining a relatively high success rate. On the other hand, Ernakulam and Kozhikode emerged as top-performing districts with the highest pass rates and the largest number of students scoring A+ grades in all subjects.

Top Achievers

The number of students who secured full A+ grades in all subjects crossed 50,000, showcasing remarkable academic consistency. Many of these students attributed their success to structured study schedules, support from teachers, and the effective use of digital learning platforms provided by the state.

Technological Integration

Kerala continued its emphasis on digital transformation in education. Students were able to access their results via multiple platforms including mobile applications such as the Saphalam 2025 app, and services like DigiLocker, which provided digital mark sheets and certificates. The results were also available via SMS and automated voice call systems for accessibility in remote areas.

Revaluation and Supplementary Exams

For students who wish to apply for revaluation, scrutiny, or photocopy of answer sheets, the application window is open until May 14, 2025.

Additionally, the state will conduct Supplementary or “Save a Year” exams in June 2025, offering students who were unable to pass in one or more subjects a second opportunity to clear the exams without losing an academic year. The dates and guidelines for these exams will be published shortly by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan.

Minister’s Statement

Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty congratulated all students and emphasized the importance of inclusive education. He highlighted that Kerala's public education system continues to serve as a model for the rest of the country due to its focus on equity, quality, and innovation.

Looking Ahead

With this year’s performance, Kerala has maintained its legacy of academic excellence. The focus now shifts to higher secondary admissions, with schools expected to begin the Class 11 application process shortly. Parents and students are advised to stay updated through official education department notifications for guidelines on the single-window admission process.
