CIDCO Lottery 2025: Affordable Housing Initiative Draws Massive Response

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has successfully conducted its "My Preferred CIDCO Home" lottery for 2025, offering 26,000 affordable housing units to residents of Maharashtra. The initiative aims to provide quality housing to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) categories as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Key Details of the CIDCO Lottery 2025:

• Registration Period: The application process commenced on October 12, 2024, and was extended until January 31, 2025, due to overwhelming public interest.

• Draw Date: The computerized lottery draw took place on February 19, 2025, coinciding with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.

• Locations of Housing Units: The units are strategically located in well-connected nodes, including Vashi, Taloja, Kharghar, and Mansarovar, ensuring residents have access to essential amenities and transportation networks.

• Pricing Structure:

  • EWS Category: Units priced between ₹25 lakh and ₹48 lakh.

  • LIG Category: Units ranging from ₹34 lakh to ₹97 lakh.

To facilitate homeownership, CIDCO partnered with Aavas Financiers, offering tailored and accessible financing solutions to lottery winners.

Despite the successful allocation, approximately 6,482 units remained unsold. CIDCO plans to conduct a fresh lottery during Gudi Padwa to allocate these remaining units, providing another opportunity for prospective homeowners.
