Rippling Co-Founder Prasanna Sankar and Wife Dhivya Sashidhar Engage in Public Custody and Allegations Battle

Prasanna Sankar, co-founder of the $10 billion workforce management platform Rippling, is currently embroiled in a highly publicized and contentious dispute with his estranged wife, Dhivya Sashidhar. The conflict encompasses allegations of infidelity, abuse, and legal battles over the custody of their son.

The discord became public when Sankar accused Sashidhar of infidelity, sharing purported screenshots of her conversations with another man, identified as Anoop Kuttysankaran. In response, Sashidhar has leveled serious accusations against Sankar, including claims of forced sexual relations, surveillance, and threats. She alleges that Sankar pressured her into accepting an open marriage and admitted to contacting escorts. An email from December 2019 reportedly shows Sankar confessing to reaching out to several sex workers but ultimately backing out. On the same day, he allegedly proposed the idea of an open marriage.

The situation has escalated to legal proceedings, with both parties filing cases against each other. Sankar has accused Sashidhar of attempting to abduct their son to the United States, while Sashidhar has filed cases alleging kidnapping. The Chennai police are currently involved as the couple negotiates custody arrangements.

This dispute has garnered significant attention, not only due to the serious nature of the allegations but also because of Sankar's prominence in the tech industry. Born and raised in Chennai, Sankar studied B.Tech in Computer Science at NIT Trichy. He co-founded Rippling in 2016 and, according to his LinkedIn profile, left the company in 2020. In 2023, he founded 0xPPL, a decentralized social network for crypto natives.

As the legal proceedings continue, the tech community and the public are closely monitoring the developments of this complex and multifaceted dispute.
